At the beginning of each academic year, we welcome the new PhD cohort to provide an opportunity for students to get to know one another and to socialise. Students from previous cohorts are, of course, also warmly invited.
This year, we welcomed our first cohort of students on 2 October 2025, during which we introduced the SEM programme and gave brief introductions about ourselves. The event concluded with a shared lunch, providing a relaxed setting for discussion and helping set a positive tone for the start of the academic term.
